No social inclusion without digital inclusion
DigitAll Learning Lunch
DigitAll Learning Lunch
Join us for an online, interactive and insightful lunch session with Catherine Tricot from United Fund for Belgium and Isabelle Donckers and Philippe Castaigne from API Charleroi, where we will dive into the link between social inclusion and digital inclusion!
Digital inclusion is more than just having internet access: it’s about making sure everyone can fully participate in today’s digital world. This digital gap creates real barriers to social inclusion, affecting everything from job opportunities to accessing public services. We'll dive more deeply into this societal challenge.
Social exclusion and digital exclusion go hand in hand. United Fund for Belgium will share eye-opening numbers on social exclusion, highlighting how many people face challenges like poverty, isolation, and limited access to resources. Without bridging the digital divide, these social issues only deepen, making it harder for vulnerable groups to catch up and thrive in a fast-changing society.
Real-life stories bring these numbers to life. Isabelle Donckers, together with Philippe Castaigne from API Charleroi will showcase how use cases where digital inclusion initiatives have made a tangible difference. From helping seniors navigate online services to supporting low-income families with digital tools, these examples show how practical solutions can empower people and build stronger communities.
What you can expect:
- Numbers on digital and social exclusion
- To understand how these two societal challenges go hand in hand
- Insights from people in the field and how they provide a solution
